Season of Creation

Since its inception in 1989, faith communities and organizations around the globe, including the Catholic Climate Covenant, have celebrated the Season of Creation. This is a time to renew our relationship with God, our Creator, and all creation through celebration, conversion, and commitment together. During the Season of Creation, we join our sisters and brothers in the ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home. The Social Concerns Committee invites you to think of ways that you can honor the earth during this special time. The season ends on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Be watching for ideas and actions as we seek to "renew the face of the earth." (Ps. 104).
