Fall Festival
Get ready for some extra fun at our festival on Sunday, September 21st. There will be FREE children's games in the gym at the parish breakfast. This is an added attraction for families with younger children - elementary aged and younger. The breakfast will have pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, tri-taters, fruit, mini-donuts, and beverages. For those 21 and older there will be a cash bar with Bloody Mary's (and all kinds of fixings) and Mimosas. Join us for a great gathering with your parish family and guests from our community. Help is still needed in the kitchen and dining areas - please see sign-up sheets in the gathering place. There are two shifts. Help at one or the other (or both) or even part of a shift. From food prep to serving the breakfast to pouring coffee or juice to clearing tables, your help is appreciated. Added new this year, we are doing BINGO in the gathering place from 11:00am to 1:00pm. If you are here for the full 30 games, it is $15.00 (or 50 cents a game using 10- punch cards). We have gift cards to businesses (Cold Stone, Partner's Pub, Scooters, 2 Street Coffee House, Kwik Trip, Target, Walmart, Fleet Farm & more) and the value of prizes will be $20.00 and up. Look for sign-up sheets in the gathering place. This is a great opportunity for Middle School and older youth and for families or for anyone who likes working with others.
Silent Auction bidding has begun! Please join your fellow parishioners in supporting Frantober Fest. Scan the QR code to be directed to the auction. Happy Bidding!

Trina Dietz has stepped up to lead the BINGO at our festival and Rick Stang will be the caller. Thank you both! BINGO will take place from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the gathering place. The price is $.50 per game and 30 games will be played, so if you come and play all 30 games it will be $15.00 per card. There will be punch cards sold for $5.00 each with 10 games, so you can play longer or shorter as you wish. Prizes are gift cards donated to the festival from various businesses in the area - Scooters, 2 St. Coffee House, Partner's Pub, Aldi's, Fleet Farm, Target, Walmart, Cold Stone, and more. Prizes will be $20 and up. More help is needed. Sign-up sheets for BINGO are found in the gathering place. This is open to middle school youth and up. It is also a great opportunity for families to work together. Join us for the fun!

Fall Festival
Remember, the festival packets are ready to pick up in the gathering place. Thanks to those who have already picked up and returned your tickets and donations. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Some of the extra donations to consider are gift cards for the BINGO ($10, $15, & $20 denominations are good) we have planned for festival Sunday. We are also accepting $5 & $10 certificates for youth events/activities that are used as door prizes. AND, if you're looking at larger gift cards ($25 plus), those can be used for Silent Auction.
We do plan on having BINGO from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the gathering place - 30 games. That number of games will fill up 2 hours pretty good. If you are interested in leading or helping with BINGO, please contact Tom Offerdahl in the parish office. We are ALSO adding children's games that will take place in the gym during the breakfast. No cost. The games are for younger children - elementary and younger. This is a good place for confirmation candidates to get service hours, but a couple adults to help supervise would be nice. Again - contact Tom in the parish office.
Please get involved with the festival in one way or another. Your support of the parish festival is appreciated.

Fall Festival Silent Auction
The silent auction is coming along and will be going live in September. We are looking for new items such as group mystery games, yard games and hand crafted items. Canned items like salsa, maple syrup, pickles and jellies are a big hit. Cordless tools and appliances are also popular. As always, gift cards are very sought after by bidders. We don’t have much for the 8 to 12 year old age group, Lego, Pokémon cards, Minecraft or gift cards to kids activities would be a great addition to the auction. Thank you for your donations!

Parish Festival Packets are Available for Pick-up
Thanks for the many people who showed up to help with putting the festival packets together. The packets include a letter with information, a page with lots of opportunities to donate and contact information for some chair people, a sheet with 5 quilt raffle tickets ($2 each) and a pack of 10 "big ticket" raffle chances ($5 each). The quilt raffle proceeds will go to The St. Anthony Mission Group which meets through most of the year every other week to put together quilts and tied fleece blankets to give to those in need. The "big ticket" raffle has over $12,000 in prizes - all donated by parishioners or area businesses. Proceed from this raffle support all parish ministries as it is part of the parish budget. It is a fun way to give and over 80 chances to win a prize. Thank you to the many donors who make this possible. The donation sheet lists items for the bake sale, gift cards for prizes and straight cash donations which help offset costs that a part of the festival (printing costs of raffle book, breakfast foods, and more). Thank you to the many donors who have already responded with prizes for the silent auction. If you have any questions regarding items to donate, call one of the silent auction chair people listed on the back of the donation sheet. Please get involved with the festival in one way or another. Your support of the parish festival is appreciated.

Our raffle ticket is off to the printer and is scheduled to be done late next week. So, it's time to plan for the packet stuffing party. That will take place on Tuesday, July 29 at 9:00am. We will need volunteers to complete this task, and it works best to work in pairs. If you come alone, we'll pair you with a friend. Or, invite someone new to the party. This is also a good project for service hours for confirmation or National Honor Society. If you are able and know you can make it, please email me with your "I'll be there !"message. You can reach me at tofferdahl@stfrancissartell.org or call/text me at 320-290-3228. Refreshments will be served!

Thank you for the Silent Auction items that have already been donated.
Remember, we are looking for new items for the auction. Great options for Silent Auction items include the following: Outdoor inflatable movie screen, Apple Watches, gift cards to Coborn's, Manea's, liquor stores, nail salons, & coffee shops. The following items do well too - wine, beer, yard games, board games, event places (like Milk & Honey Cider, Bad Habit, Pantown Brewery, Beaver Island Brewery, Miller Heritage Winery, the new Great River Children's Museum, Paramount Theater, Great Theater, Skatin' Place, and Air Maxx Trampoline.) Legos, embroidered towels, homemade woodcrafts & furniture, sporting events, The Ledge Ampitheater, rounds of golf, homemade afghans & quilts, kitchen and home appliances, battery operated tools, leaf blowers, canned goods, honey, and jams & jellies. Wouldn't a Stanley water bottle or a YETI cooler make a nice gift? For certificates be sure they are usable for at least a few months or into 2026. If you drop things off, please put a note with the value of the item - it helps the silent auction chair people when they put them online. If there is literature about events or products that help describe it, grab it and include it with donation. That info really helps "sell" the item. Our raffle ticket with over $12,000 in prizes is off to the printer. We hope to have that back and ready to pick-up for parishioners by the end of the month. Thank you to all of the generous doners. Our festival is the weekend of September 20 & 21st, so mark your calendar and plan on be a part of the fun!
