Christmas and Easter Masses
An Important Change to the Frequently Asked Questions – Christmas and Easter Masses - Fr. Tom
In the FAQs sent to your homes some days ago, the statement was made that the major feastdays of Christmas and Easter would be celebrated only in the primary churches (St. Francis Xavier and Sacred Heart). Hearing from a number of parishioners with respectful and sound reasoning, I am retracting that arrangement. We will be having Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses, and Easter Masses, at all four of our churches. The schedules have not been developed yet, but we will strive to replicate the schedules we have used in previous years for everyone’s convenience. As we have done for several years, the celebrations of Holy Thursday and the Easter Vigil will be in the primary churches. Fr. Patrick and I will be discussing Good Friday, as the larger crowds on that powerful day of the Lord’s Passion may not be accommodated easily in only the primary churches. We will send out schedules for Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter as we have in prior years. I apologize for any confusion, and I am grateful to those who brought this concern forward for reconsideration. Please note that physical copies are still in the process of being mailed to all parishioners and will not have this update included in them.
