May is the month of Mary and the Rosary

May

May is the month of Mary and the Rosary. Pope Pius XII solidified May as a Marian month in 1945, and Pope Paul VI later issued the encyclical Mense Maio in 1965, encouraging fervent prayer to Mary throughout the month.
Traditional Observances
May Crowning: When a statue of Mary is ceremonially crowned with a wreath of flowers, symbolizing her role as Queen of Heaven & Earth. Mary Altars and Gardens: Many families and parishes set up "May Altars" in their homes or churches, decorated with flowers and candles, to serve as a focal point for daily prayer.
Processions and Rosaries: Communities often hold public processions carrying a statue of Mary while singing Marian hymns and
reciting the Rosary
Marian Feast Days in May:
May 13th-Our Lady of Fatima
May 24th- Mary Help of Christians
May 31st- Visitation to Elizabeth.
