Cemetery Decorating

Spring Summer

This is the time of the year that our cemetery is so colorful as people bring out flowers to gravesites. Remember single pole plant stands are the only approved stand to use in the cemetery - not shepherd's hooks or multi-legged stands. This is for maintenance and safety reasons.
The parish has some single pole plant stands available for sale. They are hand-crafted and solidly built by a member of our parish. If your monument has attached urns - great! Use them. You can also find flower boxes that clip on the top of monuments. Planting items in the ground or landscaping around markers is not allowed. Solar light are prohibited St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
For the columbaria, do not tape things on the granite or poke things in the crevices. Both can damage the niche spaces. If you wish to remember someone, consider a pot at the base of the column of the person you are remembering-putting their name in the pot.
Following the guidelines, you can show reverence and respect for all who have St. Francis Xavier as their final resting place. Thank you.
