PARISH FESTIVAL UPDATE

Summer

We had a great festival planning and review meeting this past Sunday. All chair people are returning for silent auction, bake sale, breakfast, and Bloody Mary/Mimosa bar.
Most things are not needed to festival until closer to the event, but work has already begun on the silent auction and donations are being received. What to donate? The items for the auction should be new dish towels, children's games/crafts & art materials/toys, kitchen appliances, afghans, electronic games, fitness trackers, items that would make a birthday gift or wedding gift or Christmas gift - it's a great way to support the parish and buy ahead for special occasions. If you're not sure, and wish to make a cash donation, the silent auction committee people can shop for you. Contact the office for more details.
For the bake sale - we will call on all of our great bakers to share their time and talents and treats with us - delivered to us the weekend of the festival. Over the summer and toward fall, if you can jelly or jam or pickles or salsa or whatever, those can work for the both the silent auction and the bake sale and are welcomed donations.
The breakfast will again be a "free-will" offering breakfast with pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns and more.
Our donut machine is up and running, so this year rather than cinnamon rolls, we will have fresh donuts for breakfast goers and to sell by the donut or ½ dozen. The Bloody Mary/Mimosa bar worked well last year and is returning to enhance your dining experience if you so choose. We will also be offering a handful of children's games during the breakfast for the little ones to have some fun and win cool prizes! Another addition that we are working details out for will be the return of BINGO. Stay tuned!
We are also accepting donations for our festival raffle. Some new donors have already stepped up and letters went out this week to past donors. Please contact Tom if you have any questions - 320-252-1363 or tofferdahl@stfrancissartell.org.
Our festival is a big fundraiser for the parish, so your participation and help is needed. Even bigger is the community building that comes with working and playing together. Please plan on making this a part of your day on Sept. 20th & 21st this year.
