Christmas in the air!
There is a feeling in the air as we approach this Thursday. Even in the hustle and bustle of last minute shopping, baking, making plans to travel, and visiting with family and friends we notice a joy increasing in the world around us. At best, that is my prayer for all of you; that in the busyness of all that the world calls us to participate in, you might find joy in the Season of Christmas.
As we, who are blessed with good health and family and friends, go about celebrating; let us remember those who go without. Many among us are not enjoying good health this season.
Some among us are grieving the loss of loved ones or struggling financially and others will be
alone this Christmas. Let us remember in prayer all of God’s people, our brothers and sisters, and pray that they are touched during this time by the kindness of others. Let us share the gift of Christ with one another!
Put on Christ this Christmas in your actions, in your thoughts, in your prayer. Make a difference in the lives of those around you. Open your eyes to see those in need of a smile, a helping hand, or a visit. Let us be people of kindness and generosity committed to sharing with others for we have been abundantly blessed by the birth of a baby in Bethlehem; Our Savior.
What a gift we have received! Joy to the world, indeed!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
