THANK YOU & WELCOME

-

With immense gratitude, we honor Shirley Scapanski for her 24 years of selfless dedication and wise and compassionate leadership as the coordinator of faith formation for Annunciation. Her impact on so many lives across two generations is a rich blessing from God. Her mission has been the same one that Jesus first gave to the Eleven: “Go and make disciples, teach them all that I have told you.”
We are pleased to announce that Karen Handeland has accepted the position to succeed Shirley. Karen is a member of Sacred Heart with her husband and three children. She has been a long-time catechist with the faith formation program at Sacred Heart, involved with youth groups, mission trips, social concerns. and other formation and ministry roles. She has a background in psychology and family studies and has worked at the St. Cloud Children’s Home. She earned certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and is currently nearing completion of a Pastoral Ministry Certificate through the diocesan Emmaus Institute. Karen’s experience and collaborative spirit will bring an important continuity and stability as we engage in the All Things New planning process.
