Social Justice Concerns Committee

Social Justice Concerns Committee - Monday, February 1: 6:30-8:00 pm
Fr. Ron shared about being disciples and working on issues in our world to build up the Kingdom. We invite members of St. Francis Xavier to join our meeting via Zoom on Feb.1st to discuss ways in which we might do that. Email stfrancissjcc@gmail.com to get the link or call the parish office.

The Social Justice Concerns Committee of St Francis Xavier, along with many of you, were saddened and outraged by the events in Washington D.C. that resulted in 5 deaths, terrorized our elected leaders and their staffs and vandalized our Capitol building on the Feast of the Epiphany. This was the result of hateful rhetoric that preceded the riot. Words do matter. To survive we must be a nation of law, where truth, not just opinion, guides our discussions and actions. We write this because SILENCE IS COMPLICITY and want to restore the unity of our divided country. During this crisis we urge everyone to be respectful , pray for one another and work for the Common Good. We also invite you to join us in work. Our next meeting is February 1st at 6:30 pm. via Zoom.
