Without someone to plan and organize the multiple festival events, many of our Fall festival events may not take place this year. However, the Parish Festival generates significant income for the parish budget and we plan to have the Big Ticket raffle, an online auction, and the Franny Flyer 5K/10K run this year on the weekend of Sept. 18-19.
Last year FrantoberFest generated net income of a little over $60K, with the raffle accounting for nearly half of that, $9K coming from the auction and $23K from straight donations. There are great prizes to win – a cash grand prize of $3,000 as well as gift certificates, products and additional cash prizes. Chances are $5 each and will be distributed in the Gathering Place beginning in August. We will keep you posted on plans for the raffle drawing on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 12pm noon.
Without all of the other events of our traditional festival, we expect to have a financial shortfall.
Again this year, we ask all households to prayerfully consider making a $100 donation to the parish festival this year. This will help with the parish budget that relies on the income from the Parish Festival. Any additional donation you can make beyond buying raffle tickets would be greatly appreciated and help our budget stay healthy.We ask for donations of cash or gift cards to our $10k Big Ticket raffle. It is our hope to put together the raffle ticket and get it into the hands of parishioners by the first week of August. We would like commitments by the end of June. Our raffle is a great draw and raised $30k in ticket sales last year. In July, we will begin accepting items for the online auction, which again will be available through www.32auctions.com. We ask for new items only. Watch the bulletin for more details to come. Registration for the 5K 10K Franny Flyer Run/ Walk will take place later this Summer.
