November 26 & 27; December 3 & 4

Each fall, we offer a communal celebration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick in the context of Mass. This year, there are several options for receiving this Sacrament of healing:
After Sat 7pm mass and the Sun 10am mass November 26 & 27 at St. Stephen.
After Masses the weekend of December 3 & 4 at St. Francis Xavier.
The Anointing of the Sick is intended for the baptized who have reached the age of reason and “begin to be in danger due to sickness or old age,” whether it is a question of a chronic condition or an episode of sickness, whether it is a physical or psychological cause. The effect of this sacrament is unite our human sufferings with those of Christ and His Cross, and receive healing in spirit, forgiveness of sin, and, if necessary for the good of the person, healing also in body.
