2024 – Vote!

-

As the Minnesota Catholic Conference concludes:
Vote! It is the responsibility of each Catholic voter to form our conscience in accord with Catholic teaching on the issues that impact the common good and shape the society in which we live. This is always a matter of weighing the importance of individual issues, since no candidate or party fully represents Catholic teaching.
Engage in conversation with civility and charity. Has anyone ever been truly converted by shouting, belittling, intimidation, or violence?
Ultimately, voting is an expression of love—love for God, love for neighbor, and love for the world we inhabit. By casting our ballots with a well-formed conscience, we participate in the civic life of our community in a way that reflects our deepest values and hopes for society. Voting with a Catholic conscience is one way we can bring the light of Christ into the public square, working toward a society that respects life, promotes justice, and upholds human dignity.
Congratulations to our Confirmation Class!
Next Sunday afternoon, November 3,
Fr. Scott Pogatchnik will confer the sacrament of Confirmation on the young people from Annunciation and Sacred Heart. Reading their letters and interviewing a number of them, I have renewed confidence in the future of our Church. Pray for them … Come, Holy Spirit!
