Greeters

 

Greeters are ministers of hospitality.  The primary focus of this ministry is to greet the assembly as they enter the facility, greeting them as if they were being welcomed into their own home.  Individuals, couples and entire families are encouraged to join this ministry.

Greeters' Procedures
 

Greeters should arrive at church 30 minutes before Mass begins.


Put on your name tag as soon as you arrive (They are located on the rack in the Usher’s closet.) Report missing/lost tags to Jane Rennie. (If you have taken your nametag home by accident, please try to return it as soon as possible.) Four greeters are assigned to each Mass; two greeters in the Gathering Place (stand close to the center doors, not on carpeted area,) one in the south and one at the north door.


Greet all of our guests with a smile and a greeting. Good morning, welcome, etc.


Dress appropriately for this ministry. No shorts or jeans, please.
 

If you cannot make your schedule, please call someone to either fill in for you or exchange times.


Auto email reminders will be emailed four days before you are scheduled. At that time you can request a sub by clicking on a “request a sub” click on “login,” type the “reason” for needing a sub then click on “Request a sub.” You will receive an email when the position is filled. If you do not receive an email you will need to call someone.

    ASSISTED HEARING DEVICES AVAILABLE • If you are someone who has a difficult time hearing in church, we now have 4 assisted hearing devices available for use. Simply go to the Cross Captain near the sanctuary before Mass to see if they are still available. We will ask that you check it out and then immediately following Mass, please return the device to the Cross Captain.
