Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Eucharistic Ministers assist in the reverent distribution of the precious Body and Blood of Jesus at all Parish Liturgies. Ministers must be members of the Parish and be fully initiated in the Church, having received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. Ministers attend one training session a year and are scheduled approximately three-five times during a three month period.
You may have noticed that often times when you attend Mass, you see the same people as ushers, greeters and Eucharistic Ministers serving us. We would like to see more people serving in these ministries. If you are attending Mass on Saturday evening or Sunday morning anyway, would you please consider joining these ministries? · To be a Eucharist Minister, one requirement is that you are a confirmed Catholic. To be an usher or greeter, when you are scheduled, you need to be at church a little earlier that day and be wearing a welcoming smile! Greeting is a great way to involve your whole family in these ministries. If you have questions or would like to volunteer please contact Jane Rennie or Mark Levandowski at 252-1363.
