Fourth Grade News

 5/19- 5/23

Science

The students are very excited about the addition of a 

green anole to our terrarium.  This week we will learn about

decomposers and we will dissect an owl pellet.

Social

We are finishing up learning about the U.S.

Math

We are continuing to work with decimals.

We will not be having a test next week.

 

Reading

We will be working on a Reader’s Theater of

“Because of Winn Dixie”.

Spelling

Unit 35 Pretest on Monday. Final test on Friday.

Religion

Mrs. Nielson’s class will be preparing for mass.

Mrs. Winter’s class will move on to Chapter 18 in the religion book.

Writing

We will be giving our speeches on Tues. & Wed. this week.

Students should practice their speeches at home this weekend.

 

English

We will be doing lessons on Prepositions.

 

F.Y.I.

*There are several hard cover Social books missing,

please check around your house and return any books to school.

*All library books should be returned by Friday, May 23rd.

This will also be the last day to take A.R. tests.

*All parents who have volunteered to chaperone the field trip will be able to attend.  We do have a parent who has volunteered to drive parents to the MN Historical Society if we cannot all fit on the bus.

Please be at school by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
