Food Shelf Ministry
The demand on our local food shelves is greater than ever during the holidays and summer months. One reason for this is because children are no longer getting subsidized breakfast and lunch at school, which in turn places a greater strain on family budgets.
So we ask that you please continue with your generosity. We will continue to mark the first weekend of each month as our Food Shelf Collection weekend, however, remember that you can drop off food in the bins located in the Gathering Place entrances during the week or on the weekend. Cash donations can be brought to the parish office during office hours or it can be dropped in the Sunday collection basket. We will continue to make monthly food and cash deliveries throughout the summer.
All food and cash donations are given to Catholic Charities and Salvation Army.
Once again, thank you for your most generous support in the past. The people of St. Francis Xavier make up a very caring community.
We ask that you consider planning ahead. There will be a great opportunity to increase our donations because of the Minnesota Food Share drive that will take place in March. Cash donations will go a LOOOONG way!
Please, consider making a special donation in March.
Thank you to all who continue to give!
