St. Francis Xavier Emergency Response & Disaster Planning
Tuesday, February 25, 2020, potential disaster scenarios that could occur within our church and school, along with improvement opportunities, will include fire, active shooter/threat, tornado/weather related event. This session will take place in the church. Assisting our committee will be the St. Cloud Fire Marshall, Sartell Police Department, Stearns County Sheriff, and CentraCare Disaster Response Coordinator. Goals and objectives of these scenarios will be recognition of evacuation locations, safe spots, location of first aid equipment, gas shutoff and considerations, securing the building rapidly, assure building is empty, "fight or flight" and, do the best we can for the school/ congregation. These drills are intended to bring awareness of safety and security at St. Francis Xavier parish and school and potential responses to different scenarios. Committee members and guests should be empowered to speak up and share dialogue.
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
